Mom has a bunch of documents from her hospital in Brazil, and I am seeking for some medical translations so that the doctors can understand exactly what is going on with her. I think it is important that my mother continues treatment here in the U.S., and I just want the best for her. I know that we are going through such a difficult time right now, but I guess I feel like we are definitely going to be able to handle it. Sometimes it is just hard for me to look at what I am going to need to do for my mother, but I think that she will definitely appreciate that I put the best efforts into doing what I can. I think that it is all she is going to ask for from me, so I better do it correctly! I don’t want it to be my fault that she won’t receive proper care.

When I made the decision that I was going to home school my child, I knew that this was a big choice that I was making. But in my heart, I knew that it was going to be the best choice for us. After all, home schooling is a great option rather than public schooling and I knew that I would be able to teach him well. I’ve been asking my parents about study abroad programs and they’re surprised that I’m interested in going to another country to study. They say that I’m such a princess and that I should stay home because I’d never do well without their help, but I felt like that was an insult and I want to show them what I’m made of. What they said made me really determined to go study abroad now. It really hurt my feelings that they think I’m a spoiled little princess who can’t live without her parents. I told my friends about this and they really think I should go, if only to get away from my parents for a while. They’ll probably be the ones who need me more than I need them. I’m their only child and it’d be pretty weird for them to have an empty nest so soon. Oh well, my decision is made though.
